I am the host of Falken Mountain Lodge. I have a deep love for the mountains, for nature and for an active life outdoors. Skiing is especially close to my heart, but depending on the season the skis are happily swapped for a bike, hiking boots or climbing gear.

For me Åre is a place to return to all year round — for the skiing in winter, but just as much for the hiking, cycling and nature during the rest of the year.

Falken Mountain Lodge is my own mountain home, and that sense of home has mattered to me. I wanted to create the opposite of a bare, impersonal rental — a real home with furniture, materials and details that I like and feel comfortable with myself.

A good mountain stay should be part of the experience, not just somewhere to sleep between days on the mountain. It should feel as good to come home after a long day outside as it does to stay in when the snow is drifting, the rain is falling, or the weather simply makes the sofa, the sauna and a fire the best plan of the day.

When I am not in Åre myself, I am glad to rent to others who appreciate the same things: nature and adventure outside the door, and the feeling of truly coming home afterwards.
